Finding a taxi in Las Vegas

In Las Vegas, taxis are not allowed to be hailed off the street, but they are however easy to find outside hotels and casinos. If you can't find one, there are several cab companies to call. Las Vegas taxis come in all colors, and are recognized by their roof signs.

General taxi fares in Las Vegas

Las Vegas taxis all use the taximeter, which should give you a fair price. Never accept a flat fare, unless you know it's a good deal. Fares start at $3.20, and the taximeter then adds $2 per mile.  The driver will expect a tip of about 15%. It helps if you know your way around, so consult a map before you get into a cab; otherwise the taxi driver might take you an extra mile or two around the city before finding your destination.
